Open For The Headlining Act At This Years Asian American Student Union's Feb Conference!

Come join ECAASU for some information on your rights and fun performances.

          This February 22 - 24, at Columbia University, New York City, the East Coast Asian American Student Union (ECAASU) will be hosting a conference to bring students together to raise awareness on particular topics ranging from Asian American communities, to "Know Your Rights", all the way to how to handle discrimination.
 Each work shop is geared to rising above social norms, social networking opportunities, and becoming involved in culture.  There is also the chance to listen to Keynote speakers who come to build moral, character, and strength in the broad range of topics.

          Furthermore, the conference will include Performers to help fuel the fun. Names include Jason Chen, Clara C, iLL-Literacy, and many more. Not only do you get to see these artists but this year  the ECAASU is offering the chance to open for the Headlining act. Every year the conference invites prominent names to come and perform such as Dumbfounded and Poreotics in the past, but this year they want you to have the chance to get up close and personal with your favorites. 

         The talent competition is for a broad range of talents including but not limited to singing, dancing and comedic acts. The criteria is as follows:

• Film a video of your talent (maximum 5 minutes)
• Submit the video to the ECAASU Board
• Videos will be uploaded to the ECAASU Youtube account (http://www.youtube.com/user/ecaasu2013)
• Share the video with friends, family, and anyone else and have them LIKE the video on YouTube!
• Video submission ends on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 8PM EST.
  • The earlier you upload, the more time you have to get LIKES!
• We will stop counting YouTube LIKES on Sunday, January 27 at 8PM EST.
• Top 5 videos with the most number of likes will be reviewed by the ECAASU Board and the winner will be chosen from these Top 5.
• Winners will be announced on Friday, February 8, 2013.

Submission Guidelines:

• Upload your video via Dropbox, Google Drive, or other upload sites like Box.com.
• Please send the link to your video download to pr-marketing@ecaasu2013.org
• Include the following information:
• Name(s)/Name of Group:
• School:
• Number of People in Act:
• Description of Talent/Video:
• Contact Person (Name/Email/Phone Number)
