Join the Korean Cultural Center to celebrate the holiday spirit of Seollal, Korea's Lunar New Years Day! As one of the most important traditional Korean holidays, Seollal (설날) is a time to wish well and reconnect with family and friends.
This year the first day of the lunar calendar falls on February 10. Join KCC for a memorable night of cultural activities, lessons, and workshops:
- Introduction to the Seollal holiday
- Performance of traditional instruments
- Learn to do a sebae (세배) bow wearing hanbok in a traditional sarangbang room
- Hanji doll paper craft (for kids and adults!)
- Receive a keepsake bokjumeoni (복주머니) new year's luck pouch
- Enjoy Korean rice cake and dumpling soup, ddeokmanduguk (떡만두국)
